Take the Biofuel Pledge

"If the BioTruck team can make it all the way to Timbuktu on Biodiesel, I pledge that my next tank will be Biofuel."

See who else has taken it.

Carbon Offsetting

Carbon Offsetting is most effective when an organisation or an individual has already done all they practically can to reduce their carbon footprint. At that stage the most effective thing they can do, is to help other people cut their carbon. By helping to reduce someone else's carbon emissions you can take credit for their reduced carbon footprint and offset the carbon you are emitting against what has been saved by the others

The principles of offsetting can be abused and are only really effective at tackling climate change if you have done everything you can to reduce your carbon footprint in the first place, AND the offsetting savings wouldn't happen without your input.
